So I just got the ZL from Rogers was at 63% battery at 3:45 I had LTE on for maybe 15 minutes while I made a phone call. I then turned it to 4G. About 10 minutes later I turned LTE on for another 15 minutes while I did a software update that was 210MB which took approximately 15 minutes to download. I then went back to 4G and made another 20 minute phone call.
Within about 90 minutes I was down to 39%.
I noticed a couple of times in the 20's that the percentages would drop by more than 1% at a time...meaning that it would say 29 and then say 27. My Iphone did do this to, does this indicate something wrong with the phone?? I was told by tech support that sometimes the factory charges are not as good as once you charge it after the battery drains so I'm gonna try that. Standby though was good it's been about 4 hours at the same percentage.
Also I have had the phone plugged into my computer for 20 minutes (I took the webcam out that my computer recognized) and the phone is still flashing red at the bottom and won't turn on?
Everything seems normal, LTE drain your battery a lot faster, you have to factor in another variant, which is that if there isn't great coverage for either LTE or 3G it will drain a LOT more battery, charging your phone with a computer will take a LOT of time and if you use your phone while connected to the computer you might not even be able to charge your phone.
you SHOULD charge your phone 100% > use it and let it drain to 5% > charge it again to 100% > let it drain to 5% and recharge it to 100% (don't charge it inbetween nor stop charging it)
Don't forget to give Kudos.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I tried the wall charger, it's been over an hr, and nothing. I am returning this phone tomorrow... there are WAY too many people out there complaining about this issue.
Indeed it might be a hardware related issue, it happens
