can't find some recorded files

Hi Support,

I have beed using miidio recorder that stored recorded files in a folder called VoiceRecorder. I could get to this on internal storage. But all the latest recorded files are missing (not in the folder) after it updated although they can still be played through the recorder.

The program says the path is /mnt/sdcard/VoiceRecorder Where is this as I can't find it when browsing storage?

Also, what is the correct path so I can change it back?

I have renamed one of the files that aren't showing and done a search for it on internal storage and can't find it. There is no external storage on my phone. HELP!

You should go to the app and change the output folder and record something.See if it saves.The recordings should be still where it says.

I have changed the folder name and now a new folder name has appeared but the recorded file doesn't show in it! I know it's there as I can play it on the phone. Frustrated!

So you recoreded something new but they are not showing in the output folder?Can you find it in the walkman?What file explorer are you using?

Yes it seems that anything new doesn't show in the file browser. I just plug my phone through the usb on windows 7 and it shows up as an xperia u icon. I presume it is using explorer but I don't know how else to get there. I have tried sony pc companion and get the same result.

Do you have internet access from your phone?If yes,download Androzip to your phone and use it as a file explorer for android.

Use Some File Explorer and search for folder RECORDINGS

I've just done as you asked. I can see all the missing files in the correct folders but I'm not sure how this helps me.

I still can't see them using the pc browser and need to copy them so I can use them.

It is just the recent files from a few months ago that are missing although they are definitely in the same folder as androzip has just proven. WEIRD

Androzip is showing 66 files in the folder but when I view it through the computer it only shows 44 files! maybe it's some odd virus? At least I can now zip all the files up as one and then send by email!

I can now zip the files up in that folder, go to the same folder through my pc and see the zipped file so all is good... sort of LOL
