Can't create/access a google account on my phone

Whenever I try to access my google account on my phone to use google mail and market I can't access/create it on my phone as it says that I'm NOT connected to a network (even though I am, or it says that there isn't a stable connection, is there anyway to rectify this??? because it's so annoying!

Try to connect to using a WiFi connection. It seems your network is slow.

Hi did you find your answer? If NO Please READ ALL BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING.READ BELOW FROM *FIRSTLY THEN DO *LASTLY LAST-(Read All after uve tried anything!! ).... So sorry i got a bit muddled here couldnt copy and paste to fix. Try your wifi settings below first. SO (*LASTLY!!)- Mines runs normally on my wifi. have you tried a settings reset?-(In privacy-in ur settings)  If you do do this,take out your current sd card and put a new one in. as it will wipe ur photos and music.ur apps will stay. It will reset ur email address and let you put in all settings again,like you would of done from new.Its for access to the android market/emails etc. Im not sure if this is what you need to do. As i said mines runs well on bt home broadband wifi.Before you do any of this TRY (*FIRSTLY*)-id try to go into "wireless & network settings" in "settings" then turn off wifi, then turn back on, it will search for your wifi,go into wi-fi settings,search for your network and put in ur password. Then try again to get into your email. If this doesnt work,id try the above under (*LASTLY).I have bought a new sd card every time my memory is full or want to save things like my photos etc. So if the wifi doesnt work with that try a "settings reset" NOT A FACTORY RESET!! as this will erase everything.You will find "settings reset" in privacy settings, make sure your use my location box is ticked, mines is? Also, In accounts and sync settings my background data is ticked,this is in same place-accounts and settings, i dont know if the 2 ticked boxes need to be.im just trying to help you.I dont know if any of this will work,but as i said above go into the  "wireless & network settings" and try do the wifi part first,If this dosnt work,look more on the web under no connection with my experia x8,look through a few forums and you should find some help. At the very last when u dont know what else to do, id try a settings reset.But id definetly look around the web first as im not experienced in any way,im just on my 2nd experia x8-but always found the help on the pc if anything goes wrong.
