Hi,
Hoping someone can help.
Since updating my Xperia tablet to the latest version of Android, supplied by Sony, I'm unable to download from the Play Store or from within the Xperia Update app.
I tried all sorts of suggestions, including clearing cache on the Play Store app, clearing date, uninstalling updates and reinstalling the Play Store update. Clearing the cache on the download manager.
I have also factory reset the device, which fixed it for 2 week's, but it's back to not downloading again (it's also very unresponsive).
Looking for ideas, don't fancy factory resetting it every few weeks.
Thanks.
Wouldn't factory resetting be the same as repairing?
Internet is fine, posting this using the offending tablet 🙂
repairing will re-install the latest update, but it might work to just factory reset
That's what is strange, I did already factory reset the tablet, but after two weeks the issue returned. I'll try the PCC, to see if that makes any difference. Think I'm edging towards a call to Sony, it seems my tablet doesn't like their latest update.
If PCC doesn't work do contact Sony directly but this issue might be a google issue.

I have a suggestion.
repair your tablet with PCC > create a new google account > test the playstore > reset your phone > add your regular google account and check again.
The strangest thing has happened. Picked up my tablet this evening and apps have updated. I'm now able to download again. Plus the unresponsiveness has gone. Very weird!!!
That's quite odd but I'm glad its working now
