I know its impossible to know if Xperia U can run ICS smoothly or not(as of now, as the ICS for Xperia U is yet to come)
,but if we think of the 512MB RAM out of which only 368MB is usable, the definite qestion is "ll it be able to run ICS smoothly?"(Conseder other specs as well)
yaa, it will be enough.
ics uses 80-100mb normally,
always stop unncessory services this will help to clean more memory.
the 2011 xperia family had 512mb of ram,, they handled ICS but it consumed 60-70% of the ram..
but sola has dual core cpu so it might handle it preety much better than the 2011 xperia family.

Yup! ICS OS does not take too much memory.
But there are so may threads that state that apps take a little more RAM in ICS. And do remember the fact that its only 364MB out of the 512MB RAM which is available. So that might cause lagginess which is not there in GB for now.
And possibilly the benchmark results might drop down, which ll be a big big big disapointment for me because there is no official downgrade
Dont worry about it,
There are many unnecessories app which take more Ram in ics, clean memory always.
htc one v has also 512 mb Ram(364mb), Runs very smooth with no problem.
i think 364mb enough for mid range android phone.
Hmm....
Lets cross our fingure and hope for the best.
And I can't wait for ICS, its already too late but still I have to wait.
Any idea about ICS update for XPU?
And thnks for your comments
Ics update of XPU is on road.
In sepetember any date.
But thats already too late......... HTC ONE V has it out of the box.

Yaa, Its Sony, Which make update very late and Buggy.
You know, now samsung galaxy s2 getting jelly bean update 4.1.1. after ics.
Ya I knew they ll release JB for SGS2 even though they did not officially announced that at the product release.
Sony promised to provide ICS still they haven,t yet, which is disappointing
Moreover the flagship devises of other brands have quad core processors and have been updated to JB........is there a device from sony who has that all?
