camera z3

i don know why ,but the camera z3 is worse than the previous model, i dont know people from sny not see that,people are very unhappy, and that for the mpney you pay toget any capacity development..... other phone models aremuch better in terms of camera,does anyone reading this forum???

i have lg g3 who has the perfect picture....and sony with 20mp camera, is disasted ,im sorry  i threw my money so bad for capacity development just do not believe that this reading of people who make these phones

Not meaning to discredit you but I believe no one at done has ever said the camera is worth 800 e
It is not a camera, it is a phone with a pretty decent camera attached.
Also, why in your comparison shots are you changing angles? Especially the eye shot, you work in photography but cannot duplicate a focal point or what exactly is in the shot?
The LG G3 is good, really good but an above average user can get far better shots from a z3, especially if they focus correctly

@Virdis I took some fantastic shots in low light dusk and dawn no flash and everyone who has seen them think they are brilliant.Some even thought I had taken them with my Fuji SLR.

@nino77ns it seems to me that you are expecting the Z3's camera to have the same quality as a DSLR, or even as a point and shoot camera, I see that the flash was used on the photos, you should try using manual settings to get better pictures

Yes, unfortunately Sony's Xperia camera software isn't very good.

You'll notice other oems use Sony sensors (iphone, oneplus lg, Samsung) and produce excellent pictures so I believe it is just their software that lets them down.

The z, z1 and z2 also had the same chroma blurring that destroys the detail on your pictures which is what your seeing.

The auto white balance gets it wrong most of the time too, set this manually and you'll get far better colours.

Xperia phones can take excellent pictures as long as the scene doesn't have too much complex color detail which is destroyed by Sony's weird chroma-blurring noise reduction algorithm. The z3 struggles with trees, foliage and people but is excellent in macro, cityscapes or sea/mountain landscapes.

Also, use another camera app when taking composed shots. Sony's manual mode doesn't save settings and is a pain to use.

Use auto for low light or quick snaps. Better to have any picture than none at all.
