Camera Problem

I cant take pictures with my Xperia Z .The flashlight goes on but i cant capture images though when am taking videos i can capture pictures.How do solve this problem?

I suggest that you go to settings > apps > the "all" tab > camera > clear data. Restart your phone by press and hold the power button and the volume button at the same time until the phone vibrates.

I have done as adviced but the problem still persists.I have even tried to restore factory settings but to no avail.Please help
