Camera not available after Android 4 upgrade

I have updated today my Sony Xperia S mobile to Android 4.0.4, everything was ok, i love it ... but my camera stopped to work. When i try to start it i got the message: "Error: Camera not available"

Does anyone knows why?

try repair with SUS:

Sony Update Service (SUS)

dont' forget to backup important data

You can try the above method, or you can try performing the Factory Data Reset, this method will delete from the handsets memory, but will not touch a SIM card or memory stick.

The Factory data reset is a faster method to perform then the Update Service, however if this does not work then I suggest the above instructions provided by Nolramlb.

I have exact the same problem, so seems to be no incident. Is Sony working on this?

reparing using SUS or factory reset is not solving the problem. Pls Sony start to work on this trouble..

This did work for me, camara works agian. Don't forget to make a backup first beacuae you lose all your data! It's a lot of work

Also had this error pop up once so far. Have a bigger problem with Album app. When viewing pics it suddenly freezes and won't react to anything, but a hard reset...

Also much worse battery time, very laggy and slow system.

Not pleased at all with this update.
