Camera key not working

My camera key doesn't seem to be working. I went into settings and changed it to 'camera key only' but when i press it, it focuses but no pic is taken. I tried pressing it continously for 4 secs. Then even tried pressing it then allowing it to focus and then pressing it again. Nothing happened. 

Then i changed the settings to use the onscreen button and the pic was taken perfectly. I'm using the camera key incorrectly or is there something wrong with my phone ??

The only thing I can advise is to ensure you are pressing the camera button all the way down. if you only lightly press it then it will just focus and not capture.

Yep, try to press it really hard.

when the time i am using P1, this key is great; in stand by mode by pressing it, would turn on the camera instantly and pressing it again would capture me photo.

But now, mine sola is not working at all on this key. depress~~`
