Camera Key (Hardware) problem in Xperia S

I have purchased Xperia S on 10-08-2012. It is running on Andriod 4.04 OS. The Hardware Camera Key of the phone is not working in "Sleep or Active mode" of the phone, as it is used to Activate the Camera in either mode. I have already selected "Launch and Capture" in "Quick Launch" setting of Camera which is used while phone is in sleep mode. Although the Camera key is working alright to capture a photograph when Camera is activated from Home Menu Screen. Kindly Help Please.

I noticed the same issue after updating to ICS. Capture from sleep mode doesn't work very well. Sometimes the phone only gets unlocked but nothing happens. In most cases the camera app won't even launch. Using the camera button after launching the camera app manually works great. Maybe Sony knows that sleep capture isn't working very well and thatswhy they implemented the camera slider on the lockscreen 😕
