I've raised these issues directly with Support but they don't seem to be able to answer / explain what to do about them, so I thought maybe someone out there might have an answer:
1) Since the upgrade to ICS, ALL the videos & photos on my phone - whether taken with the phone (at the highest settings), or whether transfered from my professional SLR camera (again high-quality images, though reduced to 72dpi) - only open to about 2/3 of the screen size - they no longer fill the screen as they did before the upgrade. I assume this is a bug/fault; as it is clearly pointless having a screen this size if images/videos do not fill the screen! (I could have got a much smaller phone if I had known the big screen would be a waste of time). Images filled the screen before the upgrade so this seems to be a fault with ICS.
2) The camera has suddenly started to display the last 5 images taken with the phone, in a line going up the left side of the screen. I cannot get rid of them, yet it is really annoying, as they obscure part of the screen when I am trying to take a photo! If this is deliberate it is completely stupid & needs to be treated as a bug / fault. Before, the 5 or so recent images were shown in a 'pile' in the corner of the screen; not going right across it. This was much better; can anyone explain why has this suddenly changed & whether I can change it back?
Have you tried to copy all your pictures to your computer then format your internal storage and put them back?
It's unfortunately not possible to remove the picture preview in the camera running on ICS.
Thank you.
No I haven't tried this - but if I format the internal storage doesn't this mean I will lose all the data on the phone? This is a nightmare; I have dozens of messages I need to keep, & a lot of apps that I;ve downloaded.
The issue with the previews covering up the screen is quite frankly one of the most stupid design faults I have ever seen; it obscures a large part of the screen; it's incredibly irritating and utterly pointless; it adds nothing to the functioning of the camera & in fact impedes it's use. Please could you pass this back as a serious complaint about very poor design?
Have you tried to clear the data of the camera app? You problem may be caused by the setings file corrupted after the system update.
I am almost a green hand on image processing program. So I wonder do how did you create thumbnails for images? Do I need some other tools to help me with the thumbnail creating work? Or any other good suggestion? Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
