Camera Issues -- Flash light

All the pictures I took with the flash light were covered by a white layer.  My Z1 has been updated to the most recent version.  I tried to use the auto-mode or manual mode.  I always get a white layer, like I am in the fog on all my picture.

Please help!

  1. make sure the lens its clean
  2. check if there is anything near either the camera lens and/or the LED flash, it could be a finger(s), protective case, an aditional protective film, etc.

Thanks for your response.  I removed the cell cover.  I checked again, no plastic or anything cover the lens.  I don't have a white layer when the flash is off.  the white layer only happens when I used the flash light.

Any idea?

Thanks!

I've seen this many times, and the issues are

1. There's a protective film that its too close to either the camera lens or the flash

2. A protective case

3. Fingers are too close to the flash and/or camera lens

4. The lens its dirty

I have the same problem and some strange white balance behavior (it tends to be green). the light come from flahs side and it invade the lens. My Z1 have white back. I remember that white iPhone 4 had the same problem a couple years ago. Apple had to change the kind of paint to fix it. What colour is your Z1 back?

Well, me and my friends were testing this phone and out of 20 people 2 had this problem i was one of them Slightly_smiling_Face

... we all had same model of black xperia z1.

I managed to get to the bottom of this .... i think. First of all if u have additional case cover with too small "window" around the lens or additional protective foil the problem is getting even bigger.... foil transports more light fom flash so check if the photo is better wothout additional protective foil or case cover (im not talking about original one).

Anyway....

My phone has silver border around the lens and i had same problem over and over again. Sometimes when i restarted it i managed to get few pictures of god quality.........one day i just painted this silver border with thin black marker with caution Slightly_smiling_Face and....viola.... problem dissapered... funny thing because out of 20 same models ony 2 experienced same problem ... all looked the same, dunno maybe flash is brighen on those 2 mabe some other problem ....anyway i know its not the best solution and it Slightly_smiling_Face but it helped me. cheers Slightly_smiling_Face
