Camera display cut off

I recently noticed that the camera display on certain applications are cut off by a large proportion, showing only about 20% of what should be captured. When taking pictures it is fine, even on the function tester, just skype and the old function tester and a few other applications, it doesnt work.

Is there any way to fix this?

that seems to be a compatibility issue with those apps.
