camera album collections missing

Hi,
I've taken lots of photos with the camera on my Z1 and had them organised into several "collections " with the add-to option. Since yesterday I can still view the different collections in play memories albums but if I try and add a new photo to one it no longer recognises that I have any collections at all and either allows me to create a new collection or add it to the library (but that option won't select). I've started in safe mode but no change. Anyone have an idea what's wrong or more likely what I've accidently done to stop Collections from seeing the ones I've already created?

**bleep** is going on?! This is not a grumble but you can see from my previous post some features of creating camera albums/collections disappeared from my Z1 back at the beginning of March. Since then I've 'repaired it' and upgraded to kitkat but the features didn't return. Today after installing sonys million moments app and trying to create some photo albums again the ' add to collection ' option and all my collections have returned to the stock camera album app! Coincidence I don't know but is there somewhere that Sony announce what the stock Sony app updates are going to do to the phone? A blog or news page. My phone just alerted me that Movies has an update but if it's going to screw with the way I like to use my phone I want to be able to feel educated. Don't get me wrong I'm glad photo collections are back (maybe 3d album will come back one day) but now I'm a bit anxious about Sony app updates.
