For the past four months of using Xperia V, I have come to like the phone and be contented about it, except for one thing: battery life.
I understand that smartphones really consume much power compared to any feature phones, but the battery life of my Xperia V, and I guess even other users would agree with me, is so disappointing that I have to resort to this forum in order for Sony to listen (if they really care about their customers).
My phone, even with the updates I have had, only lasts at an average of 15 to 20 hours (about 50 percent of which is on standby/idle) so I need to charge even before the day ends.
Now to the everdearest Sony customer support group, if you can't do something about the battery life through software/system updates, isn't just possible if you just produce higher-performance battery life (with higher mAH of course) for Xperia V users?
I am quite surprised that since you introduced Xperia, there have been so many Xperia models already released. I don't care if you think this is the best marketing pitch, but I just hope you won't take for granted customers who have already bought the Xperia V. The model itself is good, but there is one important department to which your tech people have forgot about this phone--battery life.
Hi Sony,
Yes i have the same issue. I just bought a new battery cost me SGD58 yesterday.
And I charged it the whole entire night.
This morning, my battery dropped 1% every 15mins. I am dissappointed.
My V battery usually lasts for more than 1 day (+24 hours).
If you let all your apps to sync whenever they want, then good luck .
Also, just activate the radio functions that you need at the moment (wi-fi, bluetooth, gps, ...) .
LTE is known to drain your battery fast.
Iv got the same problem with Sony xperia v !
The battery discharges fast even with high current dragger software and features setting to off.
I think the original ba800 is not suitable for such a smart phone.
Easily remember old nokia E71 with a 1500 mAh battery which doesn't use large display and new features ... !
