hello
i have a very low volume during calls on my E1, even in handsfree mode. i must keep my ear close to the speaker
i tried to rise the level with many apps without success
have you the same issue too?
Hi,
First of all I would suggest that you take your phone to a retailer to compare the sound with another Xperia E1.
Also check that you haven't put a screen protector over the earspeaker.
If you have lower sound on your device you could first of all try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:
http://www.sonymobile.com/update
In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > click on the blue highlight (Repair my phone/tablet). Do this without the phone connected. Follow the instructions on screen to perform the repair.
Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:

Otherwise, I suggest that you have your phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information:

thank you for reply
i installed 4.4 after 4.3 and the 'issue" remain
i just tried a S5 and the volume hands-free is not much higher
i suppose that the level is the same on many phones
my old nokia was more loudy
i'll compare with another sony M2
I have the same low ear speaker volume problem on Build Number 20.1.A.2.14 and it was consistent throught all updates since Android 4.3. The volume is much louder when i use ServiceMenu and Xperia Diagnostics to test the speaker. Tech support said that i should send the phone to a Service Center to be repaired but i don't want to do that since it's obviously a software issue.
Tests were done in Safe Mode also.
