I suggest that you boot the phone into safe mode to see if same behaviour appear. Also, do you have the possibility to try another SIM-card?

Okay, what if you boot the phone without SIM-card, does the same thing happen?
When you see the call log, could you try to clear it? You can do it by pressing the menu button (top right corner in the call log) > Clear call log, to see if this can help.
Otherwise, I suggest that you perform a software repair using PC Companion on your phone via PC Companion. This will reinstall the latest software available for your phone. When the software repair is done, I would suggest that you wait to restore any backup to see if same behaviour appear.
