Calendar Synchronization Problems

I always had my Outlook and Google Calendar and they synched without difficult. Since I got the Xperia S (LT26) I have been using the sony Pc Companion to help me synch my calendar to my phone. However I have been having lots of difficulty and at stages have lost vital calendar information. I don't know what I am doing wrong and would really appreciate some advice.

It has gotten to the stage that every time my phone Synchronises with my desktop outlook I am faced with a new challenge.

Some items I had on my outlook calendar have disappeared and I am afraid that I may have delted them in response to a prompt that I misinterpreted.

Different items have been deleted off my Google calendar account.

I am often faced with this question during sychronising: 'This item has been deleted on your Google (tm) do you want synchronisation to remove it also on your computer.' I say no each time but it seems laborious to face this option every time.

Also each time my phone synchronises with the outlook and computer calendar the appointment duplicates and so I can end up with 3/4 entries of the same appointment if i haven't been clearing them - again another laborious process. Interestingly there is never any duplication on the calendar on my phone.

So I am obviously doing major stuff wrong and I am totally at a loss and would really appreciate a word to the wise as it is taken a lot of my time and unsettling my confidence in my calendars etc

thanks in advance for anyone who may be able to throw light into my darkness!

I'd suggest you syrn your phone calendar with Google using the sync function on the phone instead of through PCC.  You can activate it through Settings > Accounts & Sync

What you can do is to reinstall PC Companion. Try using a test folder in your MS Outlook and point the sync to that folder. But if the problem still remains I suggest that you try using My phone explorer to sync. If that works the problem must be related to the Google connection somehow.
