Just to clarify, can you create repeating appointments in the calendar but after that you can't see them in the calendar view? Or isn't it possible to create repeating appointments?

Jes, after you have created a repeating appointment, see the color, but you don't know what you are talking about!

If so, good luck.  You can see the responses I got from Sony (it's not a bug, and try a different calendar).  Seems they won't admit it's a bug and get it fixed.
