c902 loudspeaker hands-free problem

i have a c902 which is fine apart from when i try and speak using the in-built hands-free speaker. people on the other end say that i sould like my head is in a bucket of water. i have downloaded the latest software but no different. any suggestions?

If you have already downloaded the latest software via the phone's remote update service, you can also try running the Update service via PC, as this may improve loudspeaker performance.

Thanks for reply, but I have already done this and it makes no difference.

Then you have two other options: a Master reset and/or "repair phone" option via PC suite.

Many thanks again. Which is better and what do each do? How does the "repair option" know what the fault is? thanks Debbie

I would suggest trying a master reset first because it's quicker.A reset clears the phone and reloads the same software with factory settings and in the process can clear any glitches.The "repair phone" via PC suite option involves downloading software from the internet which can take a long time; have never tried it, so don't know any more details, but it's supposed to repair your phone, if possible.The instructions on PC suite advise against using this option if you can still use the phone. Neither of these two actions are guaranteed to fix your loudspeaker problem, but it's worth a try. Chris
