C4 display

36.jpgHi from Portugal,

Usually I carry the C4 in the front pocket of my pants, while walking! When I sit down, I shoot it from the pocket. From one moment to the next, when shooting the phone pocket, he presents this shadow on the screen! The phone was purchased in December 2015. I contacted the technical assistance of Sony in Portugal, DataFax, reported the event, I sent them a phone photographs by email. After a week without news of DataFax, I called there, and spoke with a technician! The answer, always by phone, was that the phone suffered a twist that damaged the display internally! I mentioned that this had not happened, because if so, the phone would have visible external signs of damage. The phone has no risk, not fall, I do not fault any outside or indications of abuse!
The price of repair is 65 € + VAT!
As the phone is under warranty, I asked if this repair was under it! The answer was no! That had been misuse!
The C4 is the tenth sony I have! I am a customer, yet the brand was Ericsson!
What do you think I do? With Sony Portugal not worth talking about.

Thanks

Hi @Virgilio,

Welcome to the forum!

If I understood you correctly then your phone fell from your pocket after which you started having trouble with the display, yes?

Unfortunately I can in this case only refer you to contact your Local support regarding this as warranty and service procedures vary on a local level. My recommendation is that you have your phone sent to and examined by an authorized service centre.

Hi Didrik

Thanks for your reply.
You reply me from where?

Here in Portugal, warranty service does not work!

The diagnosis to the mobile phone was made through photography I sent them by email ...

For them, the problem is not the mobile phone is weak and having to use a dome, but an incorrect use of me!
Sony authorized service centre in Portugal is Datafax!

You should contact your Local support and get them to inspect the phone.

Hello @Virgilio,

I'm not situated in Portugal if that's what you where wondering about.

A full examination usually requires the service centre to physically receive the phone. This is a global user based forum, since repairs are handled on a local level there's unfortunately not much I can do from here other than recommending that you contact your local support team.

I'm sorry for any trouble this may cause for you.
