Bye pass broken screen?

I loved my little Xperia mini pro. The other day the touch screen got broken. It was a non-fixer. I went to the phone shop and they gave me another Xperia - the one that was in the James Bond Movie. It came with a new SIM (smaller). To make a long story short I cannot extract anything from my old phone internal memory because there is a command prompt that drops down onto the screen when I connect to my PC, and I cannot use the touch screen to say "connect". It does not do it automatiically like my new phone. My memory card and new SIM are fine but I have important info on my calender as well as detailed phone contacts on the internal phone memory. How can I access them? I did not have PC Companion when using my old Xperia mini.

Unfortunately, If you can't get your phone to connect to your PC you will not be able to get any content out of the phone. You haven't synced your calendar with your Google account? In that case you can log into www.gmail.com to see your calendar or sync to the same Google account with your new phone.

Thanks for that Alexander, but that is the jist of the question I'm asking...I can't connect the phone to the PC because the touch screen is broken and I never set up a sync to gmail on the old phone. I'm under the impression that people who design phones and their soft ware are pretty smart. It would not be very well thought out to design a "access" prompt on a very fragile touch screen as the ONLY way to access the internal workings of the phone. But I guess that is a problem for Sony to deal with? Oh, and by the way...the "James Bond" Experia phone is very awkward. The screen is big and it takes good photo's - I also like the keypad BUT the design of the phone is such that it is hard to figure out which end is up and which side is front/back...espec in the dark. You need your fingernail to press the camera and volume and they are all placed too close on the one side. If I didn't get the thing for free I would dispose of it faster than a James Bond Villan!

Still looking for that Answer.....
