Hello sony team!

Okay, so, in last month(when I upgraded to ICS) I`ve monithored few bugs from mine Xperia S.

And they ar:

1. Camera button. When using it for fast capture(when creen is locked) sometimes it works with first press of button, but mostly I need to press it more than one time(usually 3 times) to activate.
2. When calling to someone or recieving ac call from someone the screen goes dark, ofcourse becouse of proximity sensor, but the problem is, that when I get phone away from my ear, screnn is still dark, it doesn`t tur on, like it was on 2.3.7.
3. Mobile internet on low battery(under 15%) doesn`t turn on, same problem is with wifi.
4. Bluetooth bug with handsfree headsets - music is twitching for about 1 second in a 2-3 minutes or when unlocking screen or doing some hard actions for CPU, and I`m using SonyEricsson`s MW600.
5. Problem with MAC and Linux. I can`t connect my phone to my MAC and also I c`nt connect it to Linux. The problem is that USB ports are showing that phone is connected, but I can`t acces to phone memory. That`s really annoying, becouse I need to use windows crap. And, I was able to connect my phone to Mac and Linux on 2.3.7
6. And the last problem - battery! It drains like twice faster than on 2.3.7. Now I must charge it every day, bu on 2.3.7 I charged it every 3rd day.

My phones firmware version - 6.1.A.0.452

Probably there are some more bugs, but I`ve forgotten them :smileyhappy:. If I`ll remember some, I`ll update this thread.

Why will it void warranty? I flashed it with original firmware.

Before I upgraded to ICS I made backup of original Gingerbread with SUS. Now I downgraded it with Flashtool.

After using the web-browser, very often there is a redraw of the homescreen. The homescreen is empty and after a few seconds, the widgets and icons start popping up again.

I can not say for 100% if this is a system bug or chrome bug, but I have noticed this also, using the built in web-browser. This often start occuring after +24 hours uptime.

As I understand, when the phone is plugged in to a usb-port, landscape mode of the homescreen gets activated. Also after more then 1 day uptime, this starts happening even when the phone is not connected to a computer.

Only a restart solves these issues.

Have any one experienced this:

I am facing this annoying problem in my 15 days old Xperia S. The screen keep flickering and it is even worse than flickering, it just keep blinking when I open Album/Gallery and could not even give me chance to look at the photos. The same problem occurs when i open camera to take pictures and this camera due to this blinking screen issue made me feel embaraassing in front of my friends as this problem doesnot allow camera even to focus as it keep blinking every second. It makes me mad. The only solution which i follow right now is just to restart the phone and i have to do it on daily basis which is very painful as i do not want to do these frequent restart just to avoid any problem. So if anyone can help me with a solution.

FYI i have tried till now:

1. Software Upgrade

2. Software Repair

3. Phone restart on daily basis.

Please release newer version of ICS ASAP with resolved all bugs mentioned here and other found by your testers. So we can't have any problem after update. The phone is good. But because of ICS it gets laggy.

Just found a new bug on newest firware, which is released today(27.08.2012):

1) Fast capture isn`t working. When lounching it - camera app simple crashes.

Updated:

Fast capture still launches only with 2nd or 3rd button press AND still can`t connect phone to MAC!

If any1 experiences this, let me know...

Dear Sony developer team!

Sorry, but I`m getting abit rough, becouse I can`t stand on this.

Why the fck U needed to take out option to change USB connect mode? My XS now can be connected only thru MTP? Why U did this... even stock ICS has a choice to switcht between MTP and PTP, but there is no such option in my XS...

Please add this option soon as possable... otherwise I can`t connect and download pictures with my family to my computer to any of my PC`s(I`ve MAC and Linux - Ubuntu).

I experience the same problem. Fast capture works only after 2nd or 3rd press. The first press would only launch the camera but doesn't take photo (no matter how long you hold and press the camera button); sometimes the first press does nothing at all. This is not random as I experience this all the time I try it.

I'm running ICS 4.0.4 (6.1.A.2.45). In GB, fast capture works all the time.

I suggest to change camera settings for fast capture mode. There you can control the functionality of fast capture. i.e. whether you wish to just start the camera or start the camera with taking pic immediately.
