Hi, There is a bug on that shortcut. When you Slide up from multitasking button(I don't know how it is called) it doesn't show the Google logo on screen and it opens current tasks window and Google search both. It works for other navigation bar buttons well.
? I didn't understand what do you say. It works if you swipe from home key.or back key.but if you swipe from the current tasks button it doesn't work well
Android 4.1+ devices: Touch the Google Search bar at the top of any Home screen. On certain devices, you may be able to swipe your finger up from the bottom of the screen or touch & hold the Home button.
If it is JUST supposed to work with home button why it is working with back button? Also it was working before 4.3 with current tasks button but now when you do it with current tasks button it opens google search but it opens current tasks at the same time and the google logo doesn't show up when you hold and swipe from current tasks button. Have you got z1? Maybe you can reproduce the problem
Just tried this on my Z1 and it accesses Google now by swiping from back or home buttons, when swipe from recent app button it brings up the recent apps and then Google now almost immediately over the top of it. Have never noticed this before as I have always swiped from the home button, the way it is supposed to work.
I do have the Z1, I see it, if you swype from the back or home you will get Google Now with animation, but when you swipe from right virtual key it wil launche the task manager and then google now without the animation, interesting
Its hard to tell if its a bug, think about it, the right virtual key its supposed to launch the task manager as soon as you touch it but if you touch and swipe then Google now, so to keep the task manager as responsive then it will be launch as soon as you touch it
is there anyway to feedback i? There are some orher bugs.
