I have a Sony Xperia J ST26i 4.0.4. I have just moved to BT mobile and have tried to download the BT Mobile app but I get a message saying it is incompatible.
Then that is an issue you need to take up with BT
Been on to BT and it phone needs upgrading to minimum OS version 4.1. I have been on the Sony site where it says this is available so I have tried to upgrade but i just get a message that I already have the latest update but my phone is still showing 4.0 version. Anyy help would be appreciated
Hi Burnxowl,
Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines
Although the website advises that 4.1 is the latest update, this does not mean you may be able to update to it, as network carriers must first accept said update before it can be released to the device.
You would need to wait until the network carrier accepted this update for your device.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
I have been onto BT Mobile several times and told them what you advised but they say if the phone was originally sim free (it was) then you should get updates direct from Sony it has nothing to do with the carrier. Can you advise further please on how to resolve this issue. Thanks
From the lack of replies to my latest post I can only assume my only option is to buy a new phone but I doubt it will be a Sony as I have no confidence in Sony being able to resove any future issues I may have either. Thanks
This is NOT a Sony issue, this is a BT Mobile issue, it's up to the app developers to address this, not Sony.
