Browser Issue after upgrade to 4.1.b.0.587 on my Arc S

Hi,

I recently upgrade to 4.1.b.0.587 on my xPeria Arc S. I am experiencing issue on browser, when i click a web links on any application the browser is opening 2 tabs instead of one. I have only using the in built browser which came with my Arc S. I observed this issue after recent upgrade.

This issue is happning on any applications which has web link for example, the links in mails inside gmail, news & weather application. It also happens when you add the Bookmarks widget on home page and click on the book mark from the widget.

It is very annoying and we doesnot know if the second tab is opened as it runs in back ground. Opening this second tab in browser will increase the data usage. So Please fix this issue ASAP..

Hmm, sounds strange..

Do you know/have you tried if that happened's also when using a third party browser? Try with Opera mini or Google Chrome and see how it works out and let me know.

looks like i am not the only one experiencing this, i'm already tried Opera mini or google Chrome and the browser open like normal instead 2 tabs like stock browser.This issue only happen in this new update 4.1.b.0.587 in previous 4.1.b.0.431 the stock browser open like normal.

Petter can you forward this to sony dev bout this issue?
