Hi folks, I owned a Samsung S2 for about 2 years and was very lucky with it, but I am going to install a new car audio system and heared about the mirrorlink feature - so I wanted a new phone with mirrorlink capability. I thought about the Samsung S4 mini first, but there were so much negativ posts about display crack, region lock aso that I decided to look for another brand. So I found the Sony Xperia SP, which seemed to be a good competitor. In all tests I read there was mentioned that it would have the mirrorlink feature - but I did not find any information about it on the Sony product pages. And my search on google for anyone getting the xperia SP to work with any car audio system was not successfull too. The Xperia SP is not listest on the Sony mirrorlink compatibility list ?! And most of the other mirrorlink headunits are only tested with Samsung S3 ?!
Has anybody here successfully connected a xperia SP with a car audio headunit using mirrorlink? I would prefer a 7" screen with high resolution and good working touch screen ... the Sony XAV 712 BT could be a good choice, but it is not available here in germany?!
I hope that anyone can help me out here - or I have to sent the SP back and go for a Samsung S4 mini, hoping that it won't break ...
Thx in advance and sorry for my english

return ur sp if u can its a great device with pathetic software
Sorry, but you don't answer my question: is the xperia sp able to establish a mirror link with any Sony or other car audio head unit?
I doubt that it can connect via mirror link...
But throw function must work
There's "Start MirrorLink" in Settings>>Xperia>>Start MirrorLink (in 4.3 firmware)
I haven't used it, and it says you need to connect the devices via USB and then start mirrorlink to control your handset.
If this does not work there might be some compatibility issue.
@All: So the tests where right and the SP should be able to use mirrorlink - but even with the Sony headunits it won't work?!
That's a shame
Only the Samsung S3 seems to work with most devices ...
Thx for your info!
@saurabh88: why should the SP not be able to connect more than one time? Is there a self-destruction mechanism built in?
