there is a paragraph that makes a statement that some models can not be unlocked becouse of operator restrictions, in Chile, there supose to be no kind of lock on any device couse that is against the consumer law. so if my device, sony xperia s lt26i, in service configuration says "bootloader unlock allowed: NO", what sould i do??? go to the operator???, go to a sony store???
there was another situation with movistar in south America, I don't recall which country, but the operator has to OK this and then Sony could do something for you, otherwise Sony can not do anything about it at all.
out of curiosity, why do you want to unlock the bootloader?
i develope android apps and i need aosp on my phone, with the bootloader locked or unable to unlock it, i am one arm short on the developing procces.
you have to contact your carrier/operator.
