Hi

That's not actually a problem. Your phone is branded ( locked to network operator , Orange ) and all locked phones show that status.

First you will have to unlock your phone ( By buying the unlock code from orange ) and then the status would change to Bootloader unlock allowed : yes

Then only you would be able to unlock it.

Hi,
I'm saying it again, it's not a problem.

You have the unlock code with you ?
Now all you need to do is flash a stock unbranded ftf file using flashtool and that should change the status

What the unlock code? sim card?
I buy this phone is already unlocked it works with all sim-caed, it seems to me that this code does not unlock the bootloader(
I sews different firmware, did not help(

flashing another rom wont change it what i heard but i'm not sure if thats correct because story i read/heard was that lock is within motherboard and that flashing any other rom will not make Bootloader unlock allowed: go from No to Yes unless you pay for some company to unlock that for you which they then probably open the phone up and do something with the motherboard so bootloader unlock allowed: No changes to Yes.

I am familiar with what has been said already. I called up my provider in the UK (Three) and they said they can't do anything as apparently it isn't Three who locked the bootloader. They said I should contact Sony for them to unlock it, though it clashes with everything I have read so far. I thought the unlock code was just to make it sim unlocked, nothing to do with the bootloader. Is it Sony's or Three's fault? If it is Three's can somebody lead me to a thread or an official post by Sony saying it is the carrier's responsibility?

Thank you very much!

heres what happens, carrier three UK orders in xperia z but when they order they require sony to lock them with sim lock and bootloader lock after that phones arrive to them so next is simlock wont unlock bootloader only unlocks the sim part. So only way is to contact sony for unlock if lucky they will tell you to go to nearest sony center and have it unlocked if unluckely they will not do that, they also say unlocking the bootloader will void your warranty and then it's your own resposibility to what happens to the phone if it dies and you try to request warranty repair they will then not do it under warranty.
