Is it possible to bookmark on the offline google map? While I have a data connection, I want to bookmark a place/avenue/street so that when I m on the road (without internet connection), I can see the bookmarked place.
I didn't find a wy to do that! every time there should be a connection and I have to search the palce.
with the latest Google Maps update, you can.
Open google maps > select the area that you want to see offline (part of the city) > MENU > Make available offline

Yes, making offline is ok.
I want to know if it is possible to bookmark an avenue/street/place
you can create a map either on your computer or phone and then make it available offline, and of course marking certain places

as I said, I can make offline, but I can not find where can i mark a place/avenue. Can you show with a picture?
Ok I now understood what you were asking, if you don't have a data plan/wifi you can not add anything to the map as Google Maps needs to look for the address (online), you can add them before hand

In another word, at my office where I have internet connection, I find an avenue. Then I want to bookmark this. later on the streets, with the GPS and my current position, I want to know if I am close to the destination or not.
so is that possible?
yes you can use GPS w/o a data plan, I use this when I go abroad (I don't want to pay international data fees) as long as the city it's available to be viewed offline

So, this is what I want to know but don't know *how* to do that. Can you take a screenshot or tell me the procedure?
I've been trying to do it, but so far I haven't being able to
sorry, only preloaded points of interest, I could swear I've done it, whenever I get some free time I'll double check
