Bluetooth Problem

Hi,

I have recently acquired a pair of wireless bluetooth earphones to jog with them and my XPeria Z.

Unfortunately, I have to hold the phone to hear the sound clearly.

When I hide the XPeria Z in my pocket while running the songs break frequently.

I think the problem comes from the XPeria Z because as I said I am running with the earphones in my ears and while they move with the XPeria Z in my hand, kind of following motion instead of bouncing in one of my pockets, the sound is clearly rendered.

I will try with my XPeria M, maybe the problem can be solved by changing device, but I would rather jog with my XPeria Z though.

Any thoughts would be very welcome.

Cheers and all the best,

Brian

Which brand are the bluetooth headphones?

Hi brian1978,

Discussion Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines

This sounds like the Bluetooth connection is getting interference whilst in the pocket, the best way to test this would be try another device if possible or try connecting to another phone and transfer a file whilst the device is in your pocket, if it works without issue, then the problem you have is more likely related to the headphones.

Let us know how you get on.

my headphones are the wireless powerbeats2 by dr. dre

and I should add that there is no such problem when I use my XPeria M phone

Were you able to test with other headphones or other devices? Without testing it can be very hard to supply suitable instructions for resolution.

Hi,

yes I have teseted with my other XPeria, the XPeria M.

In this case it worked flawlessly when running. No breaks or other interruptions.

I also tried with the XPeria Z's internal memory and it seems there wasn't any problem. It was when I was using it with the SD Card (8Gb) that sound was breaking.

I must precise that the XPeria M works well with that same SD Card.

I will try again.

I also have another issue that I cannot resolve concerning my XPeria Z.

When it is on hold (ie the screen is off) I do not get mail notifications as I do with the XPeria M.

I have to "open" the screen and leave snooze mode so that it checks the mail.

Is there anything I can do to resolve that?

Thanks.

Do you by chance have Stamina mode turned on, if so try turning it off and testing to see if the emails come through.
