Bluetooth phonebook problem

I have a problem with transferring the phonebook over BT to my Navigon satnav.

The phone has BT on, discoverable, and is connected to the satnav (which is also discoverable).  Initiating the phonebook transfer from the satnav generates a message in the phone's notification area (Bluetooth, Phonebook transfer requested); the satnav then starts to attempt the transfer, but times out with an error message.

A post on the relevant Navigon forum suggested a known problem with the Xperia phonebook.

2 questions:

1.     Is this a known issue?

2.     If so, when will a fix be available?

Thirdly, is there a workaround?

Since you didn't mention what kind of phone you have it's a little bit tricky to help out.

But most likely the issue might be depending on that the sat nav uses some kind of bluetooth profile to transfer the contacts that the phone doesn't support.

Check with the producer what bluetooth profile the sat nav uses for these kinds of interactions and also what model of phone you have and let me know!
