Bluetooth headset stuck on initializing

Hello,

My problem is that if I long press the CALL button on the bluetooth headset the phone get stuck on a grey screen. Screen says "Initializing" but the phone never gets past that step.

My phone runs on Lollipop 5.1.1 and it's been hard reset after the 5.1.1 update.

Any clue?

Quite odd, press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > report back if that doesn't work then repair the phone with PCC

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)

Thank you for the advice but it simply shut off suddendly my phone. After that it was just the same. I'm adding and hard-copy of the actual screen.

Repair function states that everything is fine. I tried an hard reset too but it is still bugged. I also tried this fuction without restoring the phone from the Google's backup in order to avoid the pollution of some settings, but still no hope.

This feature didn't work on 5.0.2 and it's still trubled with 5.1.1. I found this thread too: /t5/Xperia-Z3-Z3-Dual/Bluetooth-headset-voice-search-stuck-on-quot-initializing-quot/td-p/1007833

Here below the hardcopy:

I can't see the picture until it gets approved, could you upload it to box or dropbox and post the link here? also did you use PCC to reset the phone?

I did it after the 5.1.1 but it didn't work. I don't use Dropbox but I can tell that it's a grey screen stating the word "Initializing".

If I hit the headset button again the screen goes away and normal operation starts again.

I discovered today on Xda forum that it is a pretty old problem. A guy also wrote an application to circumvent it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.itdevcrowd.voicecommand.

Maybe Google will solve it in the long running.

Just curious: are you using a Bluetooth headset? Mine it's a Nokia. Does the problem occurs to you too?
