I was using my S earlier, and halfway through typing a text it decided to turn itself off and then back on. Ok, slightly annoyed but no matter. Then about 20 minutes later, the screen goes totally black. The lock button activates the backlight (the screen goes a lighter shade of black) and the bar on the bottom lights up. So I tried doing a hard reset - lock and camera buttons. All that happened was the phone started taking pictures. The sound still works as the camera noise and my text noise have been working fine, and the charge light on top still works also. I've tried plugging it into my laptop and it conncects fine but the screen won't come on. I've removed and re-inserted the sim card, and nothing happened. I'm out of ideas and slightly annoyed now. Anyone know how to approach this?
Stats: Only unsigned app running is PlayStation Store, no games installed on the phone, no app killer used.
Switch it off and try the following
Repair your software using sus
Your phone data would be erased completely
SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe
or
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
Both the links are same
I got the same problem on my side (black screen), but SUS not helped me. What I can try now?
Unfortunately seems to be a hardware problem
You will have to get it checked at service center
