black screen unlock bar

usually when i try to use my arc s before to see the unlock bar the screen is working but is black, the phone still can vibrate and turn on led indicator. it is JB 2.3

You don't have any text or picture in the display? It's just black?

Try to remove the battery for a while and put it back in. You can also try to repair the phone software in PC Companion:

In PC Companion, click start under Support Zone > start under Update phone software > select Repair phone (in blue text) > Do all this without having the phone connected to the PC.

Then follow the instructions given to you in the program.
