Have you tried to update your unit via both Wi-Fi and 3G connection? Otherwise, I suggest that you try to perform a software update via PC Companion from a Pc:

I also tried to update via updating update center. i did by using 3g connection. It was downloaded in 9 min. I suggest to do it this way.
