What is the BEST custom rom for Xperia X8?

So far, I haven't encountered any rom wherein everything works for the X8.

Are you sure that Ginger Elite V2 (and V3) are ROMs for Xperia X8? I've found another site where they say Ginger Elite is a ROM for Sony Ericsson W8, and obviusly, it's a completely different phone. I remark this possible error because flashing a wrong ROM could cause a phone not to work at all. I read it at

my dear friend,Ginger elite v2 and v3 are roms for x8.just download the rom through my provided download link(if you are going to download the rom ginger elite v2 with another link,there would be a chance to get the wrong rom and hence dameged your x8,so download that rom by my provided link) and install on x8 through stock karnel.I am a software enginear and I know very well what will hapend if my friend install wrong rom,so go for it...If you have any problem,need help call my no 8902563219.:smileyhappy:NOW I AM USING GINGER ELITE V2 IN MY X8,SO GO FOR IT,MY DEAR FRIEND...

Thank you arup92. I didn't mean to ignore your experience and background in software. Sorry if my words sounded like that. If you say that Ginger Elite is for X8, I believe you, but my confusion arises because I previously checked the links in your post and in the web page that I mentioned, and I found that THE LINKS ARE THE SAME!, so that's why I had doubts. Now that you make clear that Ginger Elite is for X8 and not for W8, I must assume that the other web page is mistaken.

X8 = W8. You can easily use any ROM intended for X8 on W8 and vice versa. I own a W8 and have used 3 sperate ROMs which were actually available for X8 (by their name).

There is NO hardware difference b/w X8 and W8 but ROM. So go ahead and feel free to flash a custom ROM and enjoy

Hallo my friend. I downloaded Ginger Elite V2 and it is perfect for my xperia x8. However, it only has one problem..the messaging app has a problem because it causes you to receive many duplicate text messages from the same sender. As an engineer, what do you think could be causing this and what is the solution

GingerElite/Ginger Xperia (REV) are buggy ROMS, some things work others don't, these ROMS just look good but do not function well. Try PrimeHD for stock kernel, its stable, got a great camera and supports app like Xperia Arc/S Launcher, as well as CM7 themes like Sesify.

Otherwise may be you can try changing the messageing app settings or try another app, what you can do it replace the messaging app with another Android 2.3 messaging app like from GingerDX. Just try some 'mix and match'.

Thanks alot ShinOrochiX. PrimeHD is small, fast and efficinet excpet for one thing: important apps are left out such as gallery. I cant access my photos unless i download a 3rd party photo viewer from android market. Ginger Elite seems to be a much more full rom than primeHD. Also, i cant use overlock since it is diabled.
