What is the BEST custom rom for Xperia X8?

So far, I haven't encountered any rom wherein everything works for the X8.

There is two roms which everything works in.

Rachts Floyo v0.20 and Elelinux for X8, the biggest difference on those two is Elelinux comes preloaded with the Pinch 2 Zoom module, Overclock,undervolt and the MDDi lag fix module.

Are there hazards when rooting the phone? if my phone becomes non functional can i still revert it to the original eclair provided by SE?

There is always risks with custom roms but so far i havent had any issues flashing a custom rom and i have tried several roms. If you follow the instructions, then it should be no problem.

If you brick your phone, there is several ways to restore it.

1. Use Xrecovery to revert to the latest backup

2. Use SEUS to restore the original rom from SE

3. Flashtool, but this is something i have rarely seen anyone using.

how do i get xRecovery? is it possible that if i brick my phone the software repair from PC companion can fix it?

Check: http://www.xda-developers.com , there is a thread on how to install Xrecovery on your phone. But before you are able to install Xrecovery, you need to root your phone. All information can be found at xda-developers.

PC Companion or SEUS will most likely fix your phone, but as always, you should be careful when performing root or installing a custom rom.
