in my xperia l an app named phone continously drains battery. it **bleep** upto 12% of battery in whole day. i read on this page that es file explorer is responsible for this cause. i uninstalled it but it is still causing unexpected battery drain. what should i do? because my friends are also using other sony phones and they aren't facing such problems. plz help me. i checked its run time and i found that it runs more than 2 hours every day even in standby or deep sleep and sometimes over whole night. reply asap.....
Hi bhuvensh9
sorry to hear your battery is not holding up charge, I have few questions so that would help to come to conclusion for this post
>when the phone was purchased ? how long the battery holds up the charge
>have you recently updated any firmware on the phone??
>how do you charge the phone wall charger or computer, and how long do you charge
>esExplorer will not cause any battery drain because I am using same app almost for an year now, by battery holding charge for 2 days (YOU CAN SEE MY ARTICLE BASED ON CHARGING THE MOBILE AND MY USAGE CONSUMPTION PER DAY)
>try to Restore the phone if you are comfortable (losing all data, make sure you take back up of all),
there might be a case where some software glitch will do this kind of issues, so let me know above questions

Hi bhuvnesh9
Thanks for answering above queries
>have you tried Restoring the phone(you will lose everything from that ) try this, this is the last thing you can do because any software glitch might fix this issue, since you said , you have got it updated the phone from sony center i believe, Restore will work with any issues with the software glitch, if not since phone is still under waranty you can take it back to sony center, try this and let us know
>you didnt said when did you updated the firmware ?? is it this is happening after firmware updation or it was doing same before

Well then, its time you to take it back to Sony center before it is too late (out of warranty), I believe it might be a Hardware problem, as far i concerned
incase if you find resolution any then please update us, so that it will be helpful to others, i appreciate your responses

Hi bhuvnesh9,
Contact your local Sony Xperia Care regarding your problem, it is the best solution for you.
Unfortunately, you need to visit a Sony service again.
I wish you luck.
