battery level is not going up while continued charging

Xperia sl is one of the worst phone by Sony.
Updated it to jellybean and it's pathetic now it battery level is not going up while overnight charging
Plz short out this

I don't understand the problem. It's normal for a phone to get hot while charging

If the phone is doing a lot of processing such as downloading data while charging... or using a navigation app (Waze, Navigation) then it is going to take a while for it to charge...

If the phone is too hot (I believe it was 42°C or 45°C not sure), then the phone will stop charging if it has already reached 70%... if not it will continue to charge up to 70% and then will resume charging when it has cooled off...

If you are facing a different problem, maybe a dead battery, go to Service Test (open Phone App and dial *#*#7378423#*#*)

And scroll down to Battery Health Test. This will tell you if your phone can still hold enough charge.

Also check for damaged cables, test the charger with a different phone...

Finally if none of the above, maybe take it to repair center, to see if your micro USB port is damaged.

my xperia sl is having same problem but its charging rate is slow and discharging rate is quite high so i need to chrge this phone number of times in a day.
