Battery lasts only for 8-10 hrs

Hi Sony,

I bought xperia p about 5 days back. But its really painfull to tell that battery give backup only for 8-10 hrs. These are phone usages ,

2G

WIFI/GPS OFF

BRIGHTNESS - AUTO

NO MAILBOX

NO GTALK/GMAIL

PHONE CALLS - UPTO 15 MINS MAX THROUGHT THE DAY

INTERNET BROWSING - 15-20 MINS

Sony please help. Its very dissapointing after buying such a costly product which gives such poor performance.

charge your phone 100% once you get to 10%

settings > about phone > battery use

take screenshots of the list and the graph, also tap on each item and  take screenshots and post it all here

to take a screenshot on GB press and hold the power button for few seconds

Same is the problem is with my device........battery does nt last fr mre that 8 hrs and the phone also doesn't work soothly.......

I don't know if I should post the same problem again or add mine to this discussion. But it is just rediculous how fast this battery empties. Mine got from 100% to 10% in just 5 hours. And I have only used it to check messages. I guess that the sreen was lighted for about 15 minutes in this 5 hours. For the rest it does not do anything. I do all my data by hand. Nothing is set on automaticly. It has used 20% of the battery for standy in these 5 hours and for the rest mostly for the screen light.

Is this normal? Or do I have a bad battery and do I have to send it back?

Here is a screen shot of this moring. I charged the battery to 100% and than I went to sleep. This morning about 9 hours later the battery was at 49% (I took another screenshot of the detail but that one is too blurry to read)

Why does this phone take so much energy by doing nothing? Particularly in contrast to the other smartphones I had that I had to charge about once every 3 days. This one needs 3 times a day!

I hope sony will see this, i want to ask if what battery does the xperia p have?  Is it the same as other xperia phones?(i mean the size of the battery is same with other xperias like the arc, neo etc.)can buy replacement battery for our xperia p with higher mAh? Will it be compatible?

Hey there.

Mine lasts for a looong time. Like when I travel, firstly, I keep it 100% charged. I listen to music continously for about 5-6 hours, use whatsapp, make calls, and play a game once a while. Even after all this it lasts for about 12+ hours..

On your case Wi-Fi is killing you...

Try turning it off when not in use.

You can ad a widget on your home screen for that.
