battery issues

I cant get my battery up to 100%.. i did upgrade my phone... it is now using 4.0.1.. when my cell is on during the charge.. it is quite slow.. moreover, prior to upgrade.. the charging was slow too.. i have just bought it.. it is all new...

plus the battery drainage is too fast.. i have set the display at the minimum... how can i manage the battery.. and increase the charging speed? and make sure that battery lasts longer.??? in a desparate help

Check this thread http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/57971 .Set the luminosity on auto,the whitemagic will help your phone.If not,take the brightness almost to 0,do not use animated wallpapers,DO NOT USE taskkillers,free ram apps or others like this.

but... initially it is taking a lot of time... to charge... it is not getting up to 100%?

i bought it yesterday.... i put it on charge for seven hours.. in night.. while phone was switched on... in this entire period.. it could get charged on 70%. plus.. i have switched off all the battery consuming elements, but the drainage is too quick... (i did upgrade it in the morning today). till then. i have placed it on charging.. but the speed of charging is too slow.. it is talking 20 minutes to get charged by 1%....

With a new phone,the battery needs time to settle,about 15-20 charges.Also,the new Li-Ion batteries do not need overcharging because after they reach 100%,the battery stops recieving power.Wait some more and if it does not get better,tell us.

i am not able to charge it too 100%.. coz it is taking so much time to charge... but if you say so.. then ill put it on charging to night.. to see it reaches 1oo%....
