Battery is not charging showing as 1% and red light,

Please help me what i must do , my mobile batttery is not charging properly and getting switched off again and again , please tell me what to do and how to do, appreviate your help ,

Keep your phone connected to wall charger for 2 hours,repair it with sony update service.

hi dear this is possibly because u installed a custom rom and formatted and custom rom for the battery info.

do format system in cwm and install a official rom or a custom rom with stock based.and then do not factory reset and do not wipe cache in cwm and install your own rom.

I have updated my Sony experia s mobile with latest update through PC companion ,

Android version: Google Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)

Latest available software: 6.2.B.1.96

Release started: 2013-08-26

2days it was working fine but later i am facing mobile switch off issue again i.e. it suddenly switch ff and shows battery percentage differently and sometimes it will not charge properly.

So please give me permanent solution soon,

The phone needs time to adapt to new OS.Are you restarting the phone regularly(every 1 or 2 days)?Also,if you do not see any improvement,repair the phone software,this time using sony update service.

Now its in switch off status and i kept  it for charging and it is showing red light and sometimes it gets on and shows 0% battery and switches off !

so tell me how to do and wt to do please please please please!

Hi Any one (who suggest permanent solution!),

I just tried with this "Download sony update service,install,open and follow steps provided there to repair."
, but still i am facing battery issue like mentioned below,

1)Battery is able to charge but it switches off suddenly or frequently.

2)While charging battery the charging light does not glow/show sometimes.

3)Battery shows different different charging statuses like some minutes it shows 15%, 20%, 30% 5% other times 75% or 81%, 65% this is happening continously even after charging full battery.!!!!!!

4)I did rebooting , whenevr switches off it switch on with different battery levels.

I am really gone mad with this issues so please provide me proper and permanent solution or take back this mobile with compensated rate atleast!
