Battery is not charging at all

I am using Sony Xperia SP (C5302) since last 1.5-2 years. But 2 days ago when phone's battery is showing 1% strength, I've properly shut down my mobile as then I was on the way.

After that my Xperia SP is not charging.when I connect my phone on wall charger with original SONY data cable & adapter only dark red light is flasing, but phone battery is noe charging up. I've used another data cable & adapter as well like Lenovo, Samsung or Blackberry, but result was same.

I've given this phone to service center for repair but they are saying for replace of motherboard of the phone. And this is costing to me Rs.10000/- (Approx.). When I checked online price of new phone in INDIA...it's costing around Rs.13K.

Now please suggest me what should I do..??

Is this charging problem due to motherboard..??? How can motherboard is damaged...when I used this phone is very carefully and tectfully...

I've already given this phone to local XPERIA authorized service center and they are asking Rs.10000/- for motherboard replacement....Actually i am getting confused as new phone is costing Rs.13K, then why should I pay as much amount for just repairs of old phone...and I am not convinced that only for this charging problem motherboard should be changed....

Suppose if I pay Rs.10K for repair, then they will replace motherboard of my phone and all the data of the phone will be gone....and if I will pay Rs.13K for new phone purchase, I'll get freash NEW phone... 

Actually I feel in service center people didn't inspect my phone properly....

Anyways I am not interested to repair that phone in so much amount... I'll take back this phone from service center in as that was condition and if possible I'll repair this phone from out side market, if possible.....and if phone get repaired well then I'll use it otherwise I'll purchase a new one as in this price Rs.10K many more much better options are available in market now days...

So let's see what happen....

The motherboard it's the most expensive part of a phone, it will cost you almost the same as a new phone.

I've repared my XPERIA SP sucessfully @ Rs.500/- only.....which is about 95% less amount what local service center has asked me....!!!

Only small problem related to charging was there....and service center asked me to change whole motherboard which is costing Rs.10000/-....

I doubted in my previous posts that people at service center didn't inspect my phone properly, if they had....they should not ask me change for motherboard....or I think people at service center are not fully trained for repair a mobile...

But company like SONY should think seriously about this kind of issue...Why...???
