Battery is draining very fast after Marshmallow update

Battery is draining like crazy after Marshmallow 6.0 update.

Battery saver keeps getting switched off during and after charging.

Have to charge my tablet twice today for about 5 hour usage without NFC, Bluetooth, and I set the screen brightness at a very dim display. All apps are battery optimalised.

No option of Stamina, battery usage, doze, etc.

Please assist.

An update on mine:-

Like my Z3+ phone which has been getting used to Doze, so has my Z4 LTE tablet.

I unplugged it after charging Wednesday morning. When I first checked, it was on 92% with an estimated 5 days battery life left?!

Wow! Is all I can say. I've been getting similar with the Z3+ when left in sleep/standy for a while. It was showing one and half days expected battery life on 78% then. Obviously that quickly changes with extensive use, but overall I'm getting similar daily use averages on my phone after updating to 6.0 so I'm happy with that personally.

I'm going to keep monitoring them both obviously, but the situation seems to be improving on both devices.

I have Wi-Fi on all the time on both devices incidentally.

Here's a screenshot of my Z4 tablet now on 44% Friday morning. It seems to be holding it's charge quite well again as before.

l have just downloaded v6 without a hitch via PCC (w10 pro). It took about an hour and it is looking good so far.

as you can see wifi was on and the mobile coverage its bad, which explains why the battery drains faster.

The WiFi always on is the recommended setting and is always on with the other Stamina setting, too.

Bad mobile coverage is really very off, because I live in the city with a LTE (300Mbps) subscription. And itbisnalways LTE in my case.

And it is very annoying that the battery savibg mode is automatically switched off during charging and that one has to switch it back on after charging.

I fail to see why the removal of Stamina mode is an improvement. Should the battery saving mode switch off the WiFi and on again every 15 mins or intermittently automatically?

Don't let the bars deceive you, check this

settings > about tablet > status > signal strength
