Battery indicator problem

hey guys, i have a xperia ion lte and lately, my battery indicator has been acting weird. it keeps saying it's 100% and doesn't warn me before it shuts off. it's really annoying and was wondering if you guys had any idea how to fix this problem. i've already done a system update and factory reset. i've tried the calibration but that wasn't any help. could you guys help?

Do you have battery savers?boot your phone in safe mode and see if the same occurs:

im not sure what those are, but i just booted into safe mode and it's still the same. any other suggestions?

i just tried that, and nope it doesn't work. the battery still is stuck at 100%.

okay, so i called them and they said to send it in for evaluation. How much is this going to cost me? could you give me an estimate?
