Battery Drain Problem

Battery Drain Problem

Hi all. I know the problem of battery drain has been discessued many times in many forums and threads. My question is a specific one though. I was wondering if the "Double Tap to Wake Up" feature has anything to do with this drain. The "Doze" feature in android 6.0.1 is supposed to keep the phone in low consumption, and I can confirm that on my wife's phone it does. Her phone loses less than %2 battery during the night. But mine loses more. Best case is %5 but most of the time it is %15 or so. Has anybody tested the "Double Tap to Wake Up" feature to see if it really affects doze?

We'll need more info to better assist you

charge the phone 100% use it as you normally would then once the battery reaches 10%

settings > battery > take screenshots of:

1. the list
2. tap on the graph and take a screenshot
3. back > tap on the top 4 items on the list > take a screenshot of each

post them all here or upload the screenshots to box or dropbox or google drive or etc and post the link

Hi there! Try instaling one of battery savers like DU Battery Saver Pro or you can use cleaning apps which have fast battery charging built-in + they will do the 'trickle' charge after normal charge of your phone. Only 15 minutes is required after full charge to trickle. This trickle charge after usual one should give the battery extra 'ions' let's say. Then it would last much longer

Battery savers will run in the background draining the battery.

With a qualcomm soc the only app able to really help diagnosing the battery is Battery Guru but it does not yet support Android M.

However after a major upgrade battery drain can happen and only a repair using Sony PCC can help. I know it's a tedious process and reset the phone but actually it's the only solution to fix this issue.

... And I can't stop saying that it's not a Sony bug but it's a typical android problem...

... And yeah, if it's not Battery Guru, other battery saver are useless. Don't use them.

Thanks everybody for sharing your experiences. My experience with battery savers confirms that they just drain the battery more. Now, here are my battery stats after using the phone normally from %100 to below %20:

Now this looks like a normal battery to me. However, my concern, as I said in the beginning, is the night duration. I checked my wife's phone and it is almost flat at night due to "doze".

P.S. It was much worse two days ago, but I could not reprduce that. I would say it is a faulty app.

Your phone staid active (awake) also with screen off. It's a stuck process, try with the software repair.

Like @YoGem said, there's nothing wrong with your phone, the phone it's awake all the time.

Thanks! I will try software repair. Before I do, is it ok if I do a factory reset instead of repair? Since looks like repair will delete my data just like a reset does. Also can I ask you to post a screen shot of your battery usage? I just want to make a comparison to make sence of how the wake time must look like.

Go for the repair with XC, reseting the phone won't help much
