Battery Drain in Xperia Z

I know there are lots of posts out there, but I have to create one so Sony or Android can focus on this issue.

I am using Xperia Z with Android OS 4.1.2

Before I went to sleep, I was using Facebook , Whatsapp and some games in my phone.

When I was about to sleep, the battery was about 60 %.

Some settings in my Phone

  - WIFI - OFF

  - Mobile Data - ON

  - Stamina Mode - OFF

After I wake up my battery has 2% left, luckily my alarm clock still sounded :smileylaugh:.

I took a screenshot of the battery usage. Androd OS used up a whole chunk of my battery life.

Is there any other way other than restarting my phone before I go to sleep?

This is usually one or more apps that's keeping the phone awake. It could for example be an app that's requesting your location often which keeps the location service on.

One solution is as GeoffH says, start without any apps and then install a few apps and see when the problem starts.

You could also try one of the 3:rd party apps availble to trace wake locks and see if you can find the app causing the problem but perhaps you will only see the service and not the app triggering the service.

But just out of curiosity, why don't you charge the phone during the night so that you have a fully charged battery in the morning?

Hello Rickard, thanks for your answer. I am experiencing the same issue Here. After getting crazy to understand why my battery had so many problems after only a week I have reset the phone and run it with only 5 apps installed: fb, whatsapp, London tube, speedtest, 3d weather and sky +. After 1 week, again, my battery life has decreased and stamina not working.. Do I have to reset my phone every Damn week and avoid installing apps for fear of losing battery? It is not acceptable on any level on a phone of this price, especially because in any other androids that I have, s2 and HTC desire s, this has ever happened. I need a solution from Sony soon or I will return the handset.
