Battery charging problem

Hi all,

still on Gb .184 xperia p no brand always charged with the original set of charger and cable

When I make an intensive use of the phone (play games, browse with flash etc.) while charging, sometimes it's like "it stops charging".

I'm gonna explain it better:

The notification led continues to be orange like if it is still charging but the % does not go up, it goes down with the use and sometimes it happens that i plug in the charger at night, use it for about 10 minutes of gaming, and when i wake up in the morning i find it off with dead battery.

I also complained of this problem with old firmware.

It's really annoying.

Anyone facing this problem?

Is is a SW or HW one?

Need the assistance?

PS: If you try to replicate the problem:

While in charge, i always have wifi on!

probably it is sw glitch !! i suggest you to update to ics as there have been no reported glitches till now !! if update is unavailable wait for two or three days till u get it and then check if the problem persists !! also if u have another sony phone or an other phone try charging it with our charger !! if the problem occurs in the other phone too u could rest assured it is a hw problem !! but probably i guess it to be sw problem

No ICS yet. Gonna wait a couple of days then give it a try and let you know

If then the problem will still be there, i'll try to borrow another sony charger!

Do not buy the charger,

Might be a software glicth, My advice is to wait for ICS

( or do a software repair now )

Definitely not gonna buy a new charger, a cousin of mine should have a XP too, i would borrow his

And if it would appear as a charger problem, i would fight with sony service for a brand new one without paying a single €. The phone has only a month of usage, I had the problem since the first day, and chatting on fb with the italian fan page they told me to wait the next update!

You shouldn't have waited this much if this problem was from from day 1

Go for a software repair ( to see if it fixes), it could very well be a hardware issue since you said the problem was there with the old firmware as well.\

I have not seen Xperia P users reporting about this issue, so definitely not a bug

Problem still present on ICS.

I was hoping a software bug of the battery saver app on GB, but now I'm sure it is not.

Took contact with the italian support this morning, I'll let u know any news.

Have it fix in sony service center, maybe it's HW glitch.
