Suddenly my phones battery is now getting charged within 2.5hours from 14%.
Previously it used to take 3.5hrs or so from the very 14%.
I turn off my phone while charging.
Also now my battery drains fast. It lasts just 32-36hours roughly.
And for the same usage it used to last a good 2 days..
My usage is just whatsapp, radio, fe websites, camera. No gaming or movie watching.
Now battery wont go bad in just 6 months right??
What could be wrong>?
Rest no other issues.
Now please dont suggest the ONLY & usual way to again repair my phone using sony companion and bla bla!!!
I dont wanna and wont use it for no reasons.
My phone is still on Kitkat and happy to be on kitkat given the countless issues with lolipop.
Also now in summers, its very hot here in India. In my city the temperatures are juggling between 38c-41c. Cant this be the issue as well?
Do you have any battery apps, taskillers, antivirus, or any other intrusive app?
you could boot on safe mode for few hours and see if you see any difference
This is how to boot on safe mode

No man no such app. Dont use any antivirus. Also have all synch options turned off.
No third party app for any monitoring. No facebook. Always have gps, bt, nfc etc all stuff off.
I charge the phone by turning it off and only turn it on once it crosses 60% or so.
Charging phone with original charger and cable.
I dunno if the temperature had any effect on battery life, but I know that if you use a faulty charger this may happen. Charging the phone with higher ampere will cause the battery to "pseudo-charge" faster and thus drains faster. Kindly try another charger and/or USB cable.
@RohitTech put here your battery graph when you are around 15 - 20% of battery. We will look if there are sudden drops of charge or loss of network coverage. Maybe something changed in your network environment or something like this.
@SergioPL
Yes will do that once battery gets discharged to 15%.
How to stop apps from auto starting?
I use Greenify and just now figured out for first time when I started my phone and ran Greenify on idle screen without starting any app, to stop/turn off any apps working in background & was shcoked to Find these working apps starting with the phone on startup--
Torch
Whatsapp
Textra
Es file explorer
Now is there any reliable Startup Monitor which can stop any 3rd party apps running at startup?
Also this Es file explorer runs in background even if i start any app like Whatsapp, albums, music or any. Dont to how to configure it to not interfere with other apps. If anybody can show some way out its very appreciable.
Many apps do have this annoying feature that they start their services as soon as phone boots up. Some games does it, facebook, messenger... I don't have good solution for that. As long as they sleep and behave well in my phone I don't care. If some game (like cut the rope) is doing background job and background transfers I start from disabling background internet access for that app and if it doesn't help I put 1 star ratting in Play Store and remove app from phone.
I have some serious queries.
Now my phone charges in 2hrs 10mins or so. when its completely turned off.
Fine!!
1] Does simply installing apps also consumes battery? Even if those are static apps which dont start automatically during boot unless we open them? I have installed lots of small apps and some other apps which I dont even use but very rarely. Overall installed 70 apps.
2] My Mobile Data is always ON for the whole day (12hrs precise) so does this consumes a lot of battery?? I stay is a very high network coverage zone so cellular network connectivity isnt any problem for me. Network bar is always full!!
3] Does whatsapp consumes high battery I keep on chatting on whatsapp. In fact thats my daily primary usage.
& I use whatsapp plus so does whatsapp plus **bleep** more battery juice??
4] Rest as said before, my wifi scanning, tethering etc., google sync, location, bluetooth, nfs etc. etc. all is always strictly off all times.
Just wanna know why my battery is just lasting a single day from good 2 and half days. Of course my whatsapp usage has increased I agree.
And I only turn on Stamina mode & Aeroplane mode while sleeping with all apps strictly closed.
It is really hard to tell...
1) They should not, except tiny power increase related to Launcher which needs to load all those icons and keep them in memory (or reload from disk) when you scroll through them
2) Mobile data of course uses some power but I'd consider that stand-by only data usage should not take more than 10% from overall charge.
3) Every app that is active with screen on consume power. Especially while screen is on. Screen itself can eat up to 90% of overall battery use of a single application.
4) That is fine 😉
I can't tell you whether your Whatsapp use is resposnible for increased batttery discharge ratio but given the type of your use I'd consider slightly decrasing screen brightness (while keeping auto on). Push the slider to around 30%, it should be still reasonably bright but battery use will drop.
Disable X-Reality processing in Display Settings.
In Stamina mode there is a setting to throttle the phone for extended use. It will slightly slow down the phone (tough I didn't found it causing any trouble. 4 Snapdragon 800 cores are powerfull enough even if they are throtthled down, especially in your use scenario).
